As the first impression of Vibrant Works, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent. This position collaborates closely with hiring managers and teams across all organizational levels to fulfill staffing and development needs.


  • Ensures high quality candidate and new employee experience
  • Develops and implements onboarding programs; continuously evaluates programs to ensure necessary adjustments are made
  • Advertises job vacancies, screen candidates, and manage the recruitment process
  • Maintains and manage social media platforms and professional networks
  • Applies best practices in recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Ensures compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan
  • Utilizes the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) effectively; maintain applicant database
  • Assists hiring managers with creating, revising, and maintaining accurate job descriptions
  • Establish and develop new resources for employment; maintain recruitment database of contacts
  • Maintains relationships with staffing agencies, responsible for onboarding process for temp employees
  • Processes position and status transfers with the HRIS system; ensures to communication with supervisors for accuracy
  • Oversees the pre-employment screening process, including background checks and drug screenings
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation and updates the program as needed
  • Supports with the implementation of training & development programs for employees; facilitates training sessions for team members
  • Coordinates with low-vision clinic for required eye reports
  • Ensures compliance with I-9’s and conducts internal audits
  • Ensures compliance with ISO standards, Ability One Program, Texas Workforce Commission, and other regulating agencies
  • Implements Employee Satisfaction Surveys and maintains communication with employees after hired
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • At least 2+ years of previous talent acquisition support or HR experience preferred
  • Nonprofit experience a plus


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective across all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills are a MUST – with a “servant-like mentality”
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
