A Brief Overview
The Director of People – will partner with the IT function to build and execute the people strategy. This operationally focused team will partner cross functionally with business leaders, IT management teams and subject matter experts and deliver business objectives. Scope of responsibility includes staffing and selection, engagement and retention, performance management and associate relations, and business performance improvement.

What you will do

  • Partners with senior IT Leaders to execute people strategy for the IT function
  • Monitors KPIs and deploys resources based on evolving business needs
  • Assesses leadership development needs through on-site observations/in-store interactions
  • Builds recommendations that improve performance; tracks and monitor’s progress; measures impact and shares best practices
  • Calibrates top/bottom performers with market leaders; partners and creates talent action plans to close gaps; aggressively monitors and reports progress
  • Provides performance management consulting
  • Ensures staffing plans and store complements are achieved by identifying and escalating to remove obstacles
  • Actively participates in the selection process and influences hiring managers to raise the talent bar and prioritize building diverse teams
  • Partners to build onboarding plans for new leaders
  • Executes people programs (talent reviews, performance calibrations, merit and incentive awards, engagement surveys)
  • Champions change efforts and effectively leads team through change
  • Maintains strong associate relations and fosters an inclusive, safe, and positive people culture.
  • Proactively minimizes legal risk to Company and helps drive labor strategy to align and achieve business strategic goals.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal/State/Local legislative requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, insurance and litigation documents, associate information (e.g., wage information, discipline, health information) and other sensitive and confidential information.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in Human Resources (Business Partner) in a geographically disbursed retail, manufacturing, or equivalent environment Required
