We are looking for a Senior Principal Recruiter to personally tackle some of the most important roles we’re hiring for, collaborating closely with both executives and fellow recruiters. Our people are Duolingo’s most valuable asset—help us shape and grow our crown jewel!

You Will…

  • Own full-cycle industry recruiting for roles that are top priority for the company, primarily in product and engineering (but including all functions)
  • Collaborate directly with executives across the company including our CEO and Chief Engineering Officer to understand company priorities and shape recruiting strategy for high-priority roles
  • Collaborate closely with leaders across our recruiting organization to ensure coordination of strategy, execution, and candidate experience across all recruiters
  • Create an inspirational candidate experience, successfully communicating the best of what Duolingo has to offer and embodying our culture and operating principles
  • Set an example of excellence in recruiting craft

You Have…

  • Outstanding creative problem-solving abilities, no role is to niche and no candidate is too hard to reach
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively and demonstrate results in a fast-paced environment
  • Skill in communicating with diverse stakeholders at all levels of seniority, both within the recruiting team and across the company
  • A can-do, team-first mentality; no task is too small and you’re willing to jump in when needed
  • Flexibility and ability to travel to recruiting events and to other Duolingo offices as necessary

Requirements:

  • >10 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated track record of recruiting outstanding technical talent into top-tier engineering organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully sourcing and growing relationships with diverse talent

We invest in and support our Duos! This role is eligible for a robust compensation package of base salary, equity, and Duolingo’s world-class benefits. The starting base salary range for this role is, $140,000 – $306,000. Actual salary may vary based on level, work experience, performance, and other factors evaluated during the hiring process.
