impact and career growth. As our VP of People, you will build out Crisp’s People Operations
function by creating and implementing policies, procedures, and tools to support Crisp’s
employees and managers. Overseeing human resources and recruiting, you will lead by
experience and drive proactive initiatives that keep Crisp ahead of our future needs and
continue to make us the best place to work. This is a hands-on role where you will be able to
implement and leverage all the best practices you’ve learned at prior companies.

This is an evolving role with ample opportunity for growth that will report to the SVP of Finance.

Crisp’s VP of People will…
● Map and manage the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding and
everything in between, and continuously identify areas for improvement and
optimization.
● Drive strategic direction and leadership in all areas of human resources including
employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, talent
acquisition, compensation and benefits, and People operations across our global
operations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
● Build out and document all policies, procedures and tools to support Crisp’s People
Operations function.
● Guide and Council Crisp’s people to ensure they are supported, and lead the resolution
of any employee issues as they arise.
● Support and advocate for Crisp’s culture, while also looking for ways to improve it in
order to accomplish Crisp’s mission and support its people.
● Proactively identify new approaches to policies and procedures by leveraging past
experiences and best practices. Continually look for ways to improve the way People
Operations supports Crisp’s people and the organization as a whole.
● Own all benefits, payroll, and HRIS systems and structure.
● Oversee and continue to improve the performance management processes,
including regular feedback, reviews, career development planning, and leveling across
departments.
● Design and implement learning and development programs to support managers,
employee growth and skill development. Identify training needs and opportunities for
professional development to support business objectives.
● Administer and develop competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract
and retain top talent. Ensure compliance globally with relevant regulations and industry
standards.
● Develop the Talent Acquisition function through innovative recruitment strategies that
allow us to recruit, hire and retain top talent.
● Communicate HR policies and procedures to the executive leadership team in order to
build alignment, as well as to the company to achieve transparency and effective
implementation.

A great candidate will have…
● Experience owning, building, and or managing the HR function at a growing company
(bonus points if at a venture backed start up).
● Experience creating and implementing HR policies.
● Experience communicating and presenting HR policies and procedures to company
leadership and employees.
● Experience working with HR, recruiting and people management systems, including for
payroll, performance management, and talent acquisition.
● Experience vetting, selecting and rolling out benefit and payroll service providers and
plans.
● Experience with various equity based compensation methods and how they are
implemented.
● Experience with performance and compensation leveling exercises.
